In total, the two countries signed 33 memorandums of understanding, agreements, exchange letters and protocols, 13 of which are related to infrastructure development. Both countries have also agreed to push forward plans to develop the China – Myanmar Economic Corridor, most notably the Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone along the coast of the Bay of Bengal.

In light of these developments, 2020 is the ideal period to capitalise on opportunities in Myanmar’s water and wastewater treatment and management sector. With an average GDP growth of 6.8% per annum, the country is in the midst of improving its water production and treatment facilities, upgrading systems with the latest equipment and solutions. MYANWATER 2020 – Myanmar’s International Water Industry Exhibition presents companies and brands a one-stop marketing platform to Myanmar’s booming water infrastructure market.

Held at the Myanmar Expo Hall, in Yangon from 19 to 21 November 2020, over 250 exhibitors representing 15 countries are expected to join the Industry Show, showcasing their wide range of products, services and equipment upfront to thousands of business owners from all over the country.
